Technical Director – Bachelor’s and Master’s work at VCU - 20 years ink experience with Fry, 5 years printing experience, 5 years research chemist for International Tobacco Company.
Senior Research Assistant – 20 years ink experience, 11 years with Fry – Master’s Degree in Chemistry – Completed basic doctoral work. This work was completed in Europe. Evaluates new products, raw materials and performs quality controls for in house produced intermediates.
Lab Manager – 25 years ink experience Bachelor’s work at VCU –
Senior Service Technician – 20 years’ experience with corrugated presses up to 7 colors for display high graphics, managed in-plant ink blending systems, and conducts training for customer press crews for color control and the use of X-Rite Spectrophotometers.
Senior Service Technician – 20 years’ experience with ink blending and formulating for presses up to 7 colors, experienced in operating in-plant blending systems to include matching colors and formulating inks. Also conducts training to press crews in the use of X-Rite Spectrophotometers.
Service Technician – 15 years’ experience in the ink industry and has worked 5 years with a major paper company directly in printing and color matching. Has experience in operating in-plant “ink kitchens” for several printing companies and assists customers with technical and service problems.
Senior Laboratory Technicians – 50 years’ combined experience servicing printing plants by operating in-plant “ink kitchens” and supervising printing operations. They evaluate colors, select the proper ink system and formulate products for a wide array of customers ranging from corrugated, narrow web, wide web, folding carton and film producers.
Quality Control Technicians – 55 years’ combined experience servicing in-plant “ink kitchens” and matching colors in production environment. Their primary function is working as liaison with production staff for quality control of batch production. They are responsible for all data entry for quality control records and provide any data that may be required by customers such as viscosity, pH, LAB or other color measurement numbers, etc.
Environmental & Safety – We also maintain a full time environmental and safety manager to direct safe operations for all our facilities and to review and monitor the chemicals that we use in our products. This person also furnishes information that customers may require such as VOC, HAPS and other data required by local or state agencies and or to address questions presented to our customers concerning chemicals and/or regulatory requirements.
